 Learn How to Draw a Cute Hamster: Step-by-Step Guide + Bonus Coloring Page!


Today I will share with you a step-by-step guide for the process of drawing a cute hamster from start to finish. Plus,a special bonus: a free hamster coloring page for you to enjoy!

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies:

Before we begin, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand:

  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Paper
  • Colored pencils or markers (for coloring the final drawing)

Now that you're ready, let's get started!

Step 2: Draw the Head:

Start by drawing a circle for the hamster's head. Make it slightly flattened at the bottom to create a chubby cheek effect.

Step 3: Add the eyes and nose:

Within the head circle, sketch two small circles for the eyes. Add tiny dots inside them to represent the pupils. Below the eyes, draw a small triangle for the nose and a curved line for the mouth.

Step 4: Add the ears:

On top of the head, draw two small curves for the ears. Position them slightly towards the sides of the head.

Step 5: Sketch the Body:

Next, draw a slightly larger oval shape beneath the head to form the hamster's body. Make sure it's slightly curved to give the appearance of a plump little hamster.

Step 6: Draw the Arms and Feet:

Extend two short, curved lines from the body to create the hamster's arms. Add small ovals at the ends for the paws. Repeat this process for the hind legs, making them slightly longer than the arms.

Step 7: Add the tail:

Draw the tail and go over your sketch with a pen or darker pencil to outline the main features of the hamster. Erase any stray lines and refine any areas that need adjustment.

Step 8: Color Your Hamster:

Grab your colored pencils or markers and bring your hamster to life with your favorite colors! Experiment with different shades and patterns to make your hamster truly unique.
